I make a decent living, but I have a baby coming and we need to find ways to cut corners. I think I’ll start with buying some decent TV dinners for work.

i haven’t gone grocery shopping in two months and have managed to barely eat out. its looking bare in mother hubbards cubbard
This means eating less, using coupons, watching sales and constructing a budget
In order to spend less money on food you need to become more self-sufficient.How to get by with less money and give your family more quality food.Make it a family affair. When everyone works together for a common goal, things change for the better.
Grow it,Save it,Use it….Sounds simple right? Why don’t more people do for themselves?
I just added up how much money we (family of 4) spent on groceries and eating out last month. Over $1000.00!! I had no idea and now I’m determined to do better than that.
So I’ve been trying to eat healthier while spending less on food at the same time, and so far it’s been going well! I am trying to stay away from processed foods, and foods like eggs, bananas, corn, apples and such are all relatively cheap to boot. I was suprised to see how much of this stuff can be found on sale for decent prices. Being a vegetarian helps, but my proteins outside of eggs (mostly nuts and milk, which isn’t exactly unprocessed but skim milk is pretty healthy) are by far the most expensive. Hopefully I can keep it up!
I’ve just realised that i spend roughly $200 a week on food and travel, I generally eat out and buy stuff to eat at home. I think its mostly to do with my new weight gain diet. So what i think i should do is start scabbing food off my friends and make the most of food vouchers.
