I’m a nurse looking for a job here. It is proving more difficult than I thought. I am dreaming of living here—the sights and sounds of the city. I am just ready for something different.

How I did it: For a while I had known that I wanted to move to either Ukrainian Village or Wicker Park. Since I had the neighborhoods narrowed down, it made the apartment search MUCH easier. I looked at about a dozen apartments, and found one that was an awesome fit in a great neighborhood (Ukrainian Village). Read how I did it…
How I did it: Well I did alot of research. JK. My dad got a new job that sent our whole family east. it was pretty radical. I really felt small when looking up at the sears tower and only being 2 and a half feet. Read how I did it…

Ever since my first visit to Chicago I have always dreamed of living there. At this point I live about an hour and half north in the southern part of Wisconsin. There is so much culture in Chicago. You will never run out of things to do either. One day you could be attending a sporting event, the next a play at a theatre, and the next a new exhibit in the museum.
At this point in my pursuit I am just beginning my journey. I have recently started a new job a salesman, in hopes that in can carry me into the city. I wish everyone else luck on their journeys. Chicago Olympics 2016!!!

Wanting to move to a foreign city…lol. I plan on moving this summer after school is out (I’m a teacher). So this is the area that has been suggested by your fellow Chicago people on Craigslist. What do you guys think. Here’s what I’m looking for
1. A place where a single 24 yr. girl will fit right in.
2. A place where I don’t have to fear my life to walk down the street.
3. A place where I can live without a car.
4. A place that has good nightlife(places to meet lots of other people)
5. Culture please (I’m coming from Nashville-culture? not so much here.
6. Things to do.
So what’s the word from you Chicago people…Help! I don’t know anyone and have only been to Chicago once for a day when I was 16. Although I am coming to visit in January (I know brrrrrr….)
Moved to Chicago from the east coast 2 years ago…and I have loved every single second of being in this city! The lakefront, diverse and interesting neighborhoods, the cubs, beautiful architecture and wonderful people..
I would highly recommend a move, or at least a visit to Chicago!
I would like to live in Chicago at some point. Even if for only a year, I think it would be great to experience life in Chicago and all it has to offer.
I moved to Chicago 8 years ago from the east coast. I always thought I’d never like another city as much as NY, but I actually like Chicago better. It’s more affordable, but you still have a lot of culture and stuff. Figuring out where to live can be a little overwhelming because of all the neighborhoods so I’ve actually started a website at www.liveherechicago.com that has some hopefully fun and useful information about living in Chicago. I’m really excited about it because I get to talk about about Chicago, which is something I love to do! Chicago is a great city. I hope all of you who want to move here make it to our little city some day!

It’s bitter cold in the winter – but other than that it is a fabulous city!
