Turned out the brake disc needed changing too. And the suspension needs work as well – which I will do later, maybe in a month’s time. The bill was quite hefty but not unexpected. I shrugged it off when my dad said I overspent on the whole thing. I know I’ll be grateful in the long run. With the way I drive, good brakes are not something I’d compromise on.

For the uninitiated, Ruby Blue is my beloved car. I need to get her checked. The warning light for brake pads was flashing yesterday and the ghastly sound each time I turn into a parking spot is getting on my nerves. I suspect this won’t be cheap, but I drive around a lot and my life depends on this car maintained at tip-top condition.
