float the river

The girls and I floated the Deschutes River in the Old Mill District today with Brooke and her sons. Yeah, there are a few things we would have done different … or a few more things we would have brought … but all in all it was thoroughly enjoyed by me and the girls! It definitely won’t be our last time.

I would’ve completed this goal twice now in the last three weeks if I hadn’t gotten sick. I couldn’t go the first time due to illness, and the second time we planned I got sick again. Luckily I still have half the summer left to make time to float.

Ridiculous I haven’t done this yet. A friend of mine and our kids plan to float the Deschutes (in safe spots) next week. It’ll be my first time. :)

I want to float the Snooqualmie river, like I used to before summers became cold and unwelcoming. I will float it this summer, even if I’m freezing!
