but so far I haven’t brought the two together. I don’t know much about PHP, too.
I won’t build it from scratch. I think about using the “sandbox” theme by plaintxt.org as a basis and build on it, maybe inspired by Eric Meyers Complexspiral design.

ldrydenb is keen to see what 2009 brings
In the past I’ve tinkered with other people’s themes and achieved reasonable results, but it would be good to acquire a solid skill set.
First up is CSS.
I’ve created four blogs on wordpress.com For now, each has one of the generic themes. As my personal version of CSS Zen Garden I intend to create a unique appearance for each, building on the bare bones of the Sandbox theme.
Once I’m happy with them, I’ll then move off wordpress.com and develop full themes using XHTML & PHP: probably not anytime soon!

I have a theme I downloaded well over a year ago that I have made so many changes to that it doesn’t even resemble the original in any way shape or form. The number of columns has changed, the colors, fonts, styles, everything. But there’s still one thing I can’t see to work out to make it perfect.
When viewing all posts in a category, it will show me all the text (after I removed the excerpt tag) but it doesn’t show the images unless you go to that post page directly.
Anyone know of a way to fix this? Any advice would be very, very welcome!

Here is my next Wordpress Theme. It’s a simple, three column theme that I made based on my other two themes. It really isn’t so different except the colors and the header. I am making different versions in order to help people out.
I am actually going to start developing themes and changes to people’s current designs by request. I really enjoy helping people out, so if you need help, let me know. All I ask for in return is the opportunity to leave my info in the footer and be able to add a link from my page to yours to show people what I have done.
The latest theme is Swirly-Twirly and can be downloaded here: (CLICK HERE).
Blessings!

I have just finished doing my themes this weekend. It took forever!!! to get the first one finished and then I came back and began to the next ones as variations on the first. Now, I plan to do a ton more with very simple DIFFERENT styles.
The ones I finished are:
New Wave Adsense ThemeTrust in the LordHarvest is Ready
I plan to do many different Christian themes for churches and personal all for free, because now that I have learned how to do it, I WANT TO SHARE!
I really love open source. And Wordpress is the greatest!
Enjoy!

It seems that bsuite is now working on all three instances. I’m not certain but it seems that it did not work with the Golden Grey theme.
The new widgets:http://automattic.com/code/widgets/ plugin arrived on the scene just in time for me to implement it. I suppose i might come up with bsuite widgets.
- find a better blue for links
- widgets
- bsuite css
- clean up footer
... oh, right, i was going to come up with css “chicklets” (the term Christine and i use for the little rectangular buttons) I think that can wait.
