Not really sure why it dropped off. I also have to say, I’m not totally sure I really understand the game of chess. I know the rules, and I could probably randomly play a game (badly, I’m sure), but I’m not sure I understand the concept of looking at the chess board and planning ahead. That part intrigues me.

How I did it: Simple: Start playing.I asked a friend some times, but we didn't have enough time to start doing it. And the same week, I heard another friend talking about an online chess game. Of course, I would have prefered to play with a friend, a real one, not a computer, but I decided that it would be at least a start. So I downloaded the game and played some! It was fun, and I improved my skills. So know I'm even more primed to start with my frien… Read how I did it…

I could not wait for my friend and started to play an online game. It’s great, although I would prefer a real match.
But I missed a good chance this week. I was offered to come at the city Chess club on Friday, but I didn’t go. I was working on something else… but still, I will get sure to go next time I can!

I did long ago, and now that I have more spare times, I really want to start back. I’ve got a friend who want to go pro and he talk with me about all the good point of playing chess… I’m certain it would help me in various way in my life, and that it’ll be fun!
melissa You want to fight about it?
Having a boyfriend who loves it as much as I do – and is also super-competitive like me – really helped out a lot on this. I’m getting better…slowly.
So I played Casey the other day, and then again tonight. Lost both times. No surprise. I played much better the second time around though!

Now…ehhh…not so much.
I need practice, but I don’t really get into the anonymous online thing. I enjoy gloating too much for that. So what I really need is to convert one of my friends into a chess maniac. We’ll see how that goes…
... make less silly mistakes and “improve at chess”.
I def have that competitive streak in me – get bored very quickly of online and vs computer(especially) play.
5-8 games per week is still an improvement on 0-0 games per week!
Need to convince my room mate to play somehow – hes not having a bar of it, though he would be a very good player in time I’m sure.
Might consider this one almost done if I can keep this up for another 2 weeks!
It is really as simple as finding someone who wants to play with you daily. This is best with a competitive person who hates to loose and like to gloat when they win. This combination keeps them coming back for game after game.
Been playing more online than I usually do, and signed up for a 7 day over the board chess tournament!
