I’m sticking to my budget and so far, no splurges. In fact, I’ve had some help too.. free lunches here and there, courtesy of several industry gatherings and business meetings. Aah, the perks of being courted by eager vendors ;)
Today’s lunch however, was a team thing, celebrating the birthdays for February babies. That was nice.

I stuck to my budget and didn’t withdraw any money the whole week. Very pleased with self. But no, will not splurge on a reward. Must think of ways to have fun or do stuff that doesn’t cost money. I know Todd has a goal on that, will check it out and see what I can quickly do over the next few days.. ;)

Am more conscious of what I buy and why I buy. Less inclined to buy things on impulse. Less cravings for expensive coffees which will only make me feel sick afterwards (trying to give it up actually). Another thing.. this seems easier when I have lots of small notes around. I’m not sure why, maybe it gives me the illusion that I have less to spend, as opposed to big notes which mentally signifies big bucks or big budget.

- curb impulsive buying
- not spend like I’m rolling around in money
- only buy necessities
- put a sizable amount away for savings
- realize that the credit card balance will not vapourize by itself, unless I stop charging expenses on it and make adequate monthly payments
- track my daily spending
- review my budget coz I suspect either some items are wrongly budgeted or I’m definitely spending more than I planned
