make my own cookbook

So I LOVE cooking! that’s why I wanna do my own cookbook… But I don’t wanna make up my own recepies, I just wanna collect all of my favourite recepies in one book so it’s easy for me to find them. :)

I had a messy collection of recipes cut from magazines and newspapers, as well as some hand-written family recipes that have been passed down. I wanted a nice, attractive, organized book that I could keep in my kitchen.

So I grabbed a binder and some clear fill-ins. I made simple categories:
1) Bread and Brunch
2) Appetizers and Sides
3) Salads and Soups
4) Meat and Poultry
6) Seafood
7) Desserts and Drinks
8) Miscellaneous

I organized the recipes I had into piles coordinating with the categories I decided on, then I rewrote the cut-out recipes to make them personal (except for a few of them which had beautiful picture layouts – thanks, Domino!) I also translated some of the Arabic family restaurants into English with my mother’s help and put those in too.

Now, I have a lovely spill-proof recipe book that I can keep adding to – and that I can pass down. All in all, I’m very happy with the result. If you want to see a picture, comment and I’ll take one and post it.
