Go to the dentist

I’m embarrassed because I know I have about a million cavities. I haven’t been to the dentist in at least two years. Now I’m really going to get my payback for that- I’m afraid going to a Korean dentist is going to be much worse than an American dentist. They’ll probably chew me out. You dumb foreigner, why didn’t you take better care of your teeth? I brush twice everyday, but don’t floss very much and eat TONS of junk food. :(

Also, you don’t get a private dentist appointment in Korea!! It seems that their chairs are right out in the open. How fantastic for 10 people to watch my awful teeth get cleaned.

Maybe if I go super early in the morning to a small clinic, it won’t be so bad. That’s the plan for tomorrow. Yuck.

Welcome to hell. Would you like some ice water? I finally set a dental appointment for Dec. 11th (I would have made it sooner, but that was the soonest one available). Finally, for the first time in my adult life, I have insurance…health, dental, optical, and life. The whole shah-bang (before this, my dogs , my car, and my motor bike were getting better care than I was). I’m pretty excited about it. I haven’t had a physical in over 15 years.

No cavities. I was blown-away! It turns out I have super-sensitive teeth and my pain was coming from grinding – who would have thunk it? Now I just need to get a bite guard and get two spots on my teeth filled that I’ve been drilling away at with my teeth.

They even told me I was doing a really good job of keeping them clean! I’m happy. :)

I went to the dentist today like a responsible person, and I got some fillings, but OW! It did not hurt at the time, but I am in so much pain now :-(

Why did I make this a goal?

After I got an x-ray my dentist estimated
on which tooth she will start the work :)
I have 2 in really bad condition.
But I would like to replace all my grey
fillings with white ones.
She gave me anaesthetic shot, so I didn’t feel a thing.
After the shot weakened, there was a little pain
but the pill took care of that ;)
This is going to be a process and it will take time
when I come to the point when I’ll need to go to
the dentist only for check-ups and I can’t wait
for that day to come :))
Tomorrow is my next appointment

I’m going to the dentist tomorrow morning. I’m not going to post this as done until I go a second time though because I’m postive that I must have three or more cavities (sharp pains in three of my teeth – especially in one – they look perfect to me on the outside so I guess there’s something wrong on the inside) so I’ll have to schedule another appointment.

I have avoided going to the dentist because I was afraid they would tell me my teeth were rotting. That thought made me too scared to go!

Well…I just went! I made an appointment and I actually showed up! And it turns out that…well my teeth are in fact rotting. pout But not anywhere as bad as I had thought. There is a small amount of surface decay on several teeth, smaller than the heads of pins the doc said, that need work but will be very easy to fix and fill.

That’s not so bad, is it? Any of you people waiting around and not going, GO PLEASE!

I have time!

A year ago I removed my wisdom tooth and it was all ok, my fear was much worse than the real removing of the tooth (which actually lasted 1 hour! It was very complicated).
28.10.09’ I went for an examination to new dentist and on monday it’s ON – This is very important to me, so now I’m determined to have beautiful smile.
It will cost, but it will be worth it :)

I’m scared that the dentist will say my teeth are rotting, so I don’t go! How silly is that?
