This spring, I married an amazing man in a beautiful outdoor ceremony. It was fabulous. He has blessed my life so much already!
“A woman is not born a woman. Nor does she become one when she marries a man, bears a child and does their dirty linen, not even when she joins a women’s liberation movement. A woman becomes a woman when she becomes what God wants her to be.”
“This book is not about finding the right man, but being the right woman. Thus it focuses on ten qualities of a godly woman that are found in the Book of Ruth. These qualities will not only enhance your love relationship with your heavenly Bridegroom, but also guide you a s a single woman, guard you while you date, support you in marriage, and comfort you if you are ever widowed or divorced. As you read you will see these characteristics beautifully displayed in the life of Ruth. She recklessly abandons herself to the Lordship of Christ, diligently uses her single days, trusts God with unwavering faith, demonstrates virtues in daily life, loves God with undistracted devotion, stands for physical and emotional purity, lives in security, responds to life with contentment, makes choices based on her convictions, and waits patiently for God to meet her needs.”
When I saw this book sitting on a shelf at my local Borders, I was immediatley drawn to it. I have to make myself put it down!
“Every little girl has dreams of being rescued by her hero, of being swept away into a great adventure, of being the beautiful princess. Sadly, when women grow up, they are taught to be tough, efficient, and independent. Many Christian women are tired, struggling under the weight of the pressure to be a “good servant,” a nurturing caregiver, passionate lover, or capable home manager. What Wild at Heart did for men, this book can do for women.”
This is a great book! My christian forum is on its third week of the book, and its already directing our hearts.
“I had dreamed of a perfect love story my entire life, but somewhere in the midst of the endless cycle of temporary romances, my dreams had shattered.” I am reading this straightfoward and unabashed book to gain a new perspective on true romance God’s way! I wish someone would have made me read this book years ago!!
Life is for living. I’d rather not live life alone. I have a lot of love to give, and I can’t wait to give it to someone I can be commited to for the rest of my life. He’ll be a man of God and a spiritual leader for our family. Where are you, future husband?
I hope to really be much wiser in choosing the right person to marry, and not just anybody, but a GODLY man, someone who I can serve the Lord with. May God help me overcome my weaknesses when it comes to love. I don’t want another heartbreak. Hope I’d meet him this year, hopefully this July.
I’ve seen the struggle there is when a wife is a Christian and her husband isn’t. It’s very sad. Pray…and when the time is right, God will bring you together. Believe me, it’s worth the wait :)
