Live in a town like Stars Hollow

I am absolutely convinced there is a town like this somewhere. It may just be my imagination getting carried away, but I feel like there are too many people who want this type of lifestyle for it to not exist. One day, everybody in search for a town like Stars Hollow, will all come together and live in one. Stars Hollow has such a perfect balance of aesthetics and beauty, mixed with a community of tight knit people. I would love to live in such a place.

i have watched the seasons over an over an love the whole small town feel. i so want to have that. especially the celebrations the insane but wonderful celebrations they get excited about. i wish there were more small towns like that less hate more love an when someone is in need they get together an help each other.

I adore the concept of Stars Hollow! I’d move there tomorrow if it existed. I agree that it seems like an ideal place to raise children and to restore that sense of community. I agree; let’s move and start a new one! To hell with reality.

Picture perfect, charming, friendly, welcoming. I want to live in a place like this, and for my children to grow up with a strong sense of community. If it doesn’t exist, I want to build a town like this!! Because I think if there were more Stars Hollows in this world, it would be a better place.

Don’t give up – it does exist! The fictional town of Stars Hollow was actually based on the real town of Washington, CT (sometimes called Washington Depot, CT). I just looked up pictures of it and it sooo does resemble Stars Hollow; really beautiful and quaint. Gilmore Girls’ show creator is said to have based the fictional town off of this town because she once passed through it while traveling. There are many wonderful small towns like this across the nation, but the real life Star’s Hollow is in Washington, Connecticut.

I am convinved this doesnt exist, well unless you move into a neo-traditional development and I just moved to the country. So bag that.

For those of you have seen the show Gilmore Girls.. more than a few times, you very well could have fell in love with the fictional town they call Stars Hollow. If you have only seen the show once or twice, you might not have been able to get past the freakish speeds of dialogue that goes on between the cast members. Anyway, this town they live in has a town square, and they have town meetings, and everyone knows everyone else. It just all seems so wholesome. Now I live in a suburb of Philadelphia, the key word here being SUBURB. I might as well be living in Manhatten. I hate any and all major cities and have no interest ever living in one, but lately the SUBURB I live in has become so packed with people you cant get anywhere on time. It’s pure chaos. Now I really dont pride myself on being sociable. I actually have a difficult time being around most people… not because I am mean spirited, mostly just because I am awkward. I am a big time introvert, I guess most artists are. So why, you ask, would I want to live in a town where everyone knows everyone else??? I guess its just the better of the two evils. I really hate crowds and I dont trust most people. If you live in a town like that everyone kinda knows what to expect from one another, and will probably just take you for who you really are. More on that later.
