find an internship

I’ve been putting off this search for about 8 months…which has undoubtedly left me on the 5 year plan since an internship is required for my major. I think I’ve finally gotten over the fear of rejection and know where to look/start contacting people. It’s an intimidating process but I can’t put it off any longer!

Only two months of internshipstuff left and no one is replying. Photographers are assholes apparently.

Made some progress on this goal. I checked out internship information on my college website and came up with a task list of things to do to help with this. I signed up to a few internship-finder websites, and discovered a few upcoming internship-finding events on campus which I’m planning on attending. Unfortunately, I think I spent more time outlining how to look for internships than I did actually looking for one.

Time is running out and I still don’t have an internship. The problem is that everyone either already has a trainee or doesn’t need one. I emailed another photographer yesterday and I am keeping my fingers crossed again.
It’s crappy that my ideal internship place just hired someone.

My parents have been bugging me to do this for months. I keep putting it off because I’ve been trying to focus on school, but I’m going to start looking now. I think a summer internship could work out well, especially if I can find a paid one so that I can stop worrying about finding a job. I just need to keep in mind that doing an internship is good for work experience and job contacts, and it might help me figure out what I want to do after I graduate.

I need a placement for my professional training year 2009/2010

God what is it with photographers and interns. They just don’t seem to need them. I got turned down by the lady I wrote last week because she doesn’t work with interns. So I send out another email today to another lady.
Let’s hope for the best.

Well it’s an extra internship really. I am already a trainee somewhere but I have to find another one for the more practical stuff. I send out an email today, I really hope this lady will bite.

So, once I actually e-mailed PP, I got an interview right away! now i have another one on Friday to figure out which internship i should get :)

Somehow i’ve manged two become a sneior in college without getting an internship. I went to a communication conference in Novemeber, and was basically told i needed one. i guess it works out, since next semester i have three days off a week. I just don’t even know where to begin.
