Scuba diving has become my favorite thing to do. It is the only activity that quiets my mind and allows me to forget my worries and stress.

Scuba diving has also inspired my idea for the best first date with a really cool girl. (She would have to be cool to agree to such a date!). What I like about this date is you develop extraordinary non verbal communication when you scuba dive with someone. I think that is really hot. (not to mention those form fitting wet suits!)

He has wanted me to do this for a very long time. He went to the PADI dive college and enjoyed it so much that he still idolizes the memory decades later. Couple that with my imagination that can all too easily envision a most incredible and worthwhile use of time and energies and a world far removed from anything I have yet experienced.

I called the Scuba Diving School up the street from my house. I need swimming lessons before I am comfortable with scuba diving so I priced those at 4, 1 hour private swim lessons for $160. Scuba diving will take place over 2 weekends for $800. The $800 includes my own equipment to keep and a diving trip in the Golf Coast. I am not sure that I am going to be able to do both this year, but I know I can get the swim lessons this summer.

I am going to ask for this as my birthday present next month! I’m thinking that this class is what I want to do.

my dad is already certified 1 year ago

but my brother and i would like to get certified and take a family trip somewhere beautiful. This is of course a bit of a long term goal… but worthwhile none the less. Oh and yes, my mother will come along but i think she will spend her days at the beach with a book. She is NOT a water person. Anyway, this is such a lovely thought, i think i will visit it many times today:)

Dr. Stoots had me help prepare some presentations for his dive class. So, I know a lot about scuba…enough to make me scared to death of trying it!! But, if I ever get to participate in the training / practice part of his class, I just might overcome that fear and learn to scuba! It’d be thrilling!

a lot as a child and a teenager, but now…ehm.. then I’m slightly anaemic, with some problems in breatheing, sometimes: this is a real challenge! But I am pretty confident I can do it…
    But when?
