set up for home recycling

i finally convinced my family to start recycling again.
i have noticed such a difference in our weekly trash
amount, it’s a large decrease and my family as a whole
is feeling better about their contribution to green living.
our problem is finding a center to drop off our recyclables.

i found that placing three medium size trashcans, the kind
with the pop-up lids that you step on the lever to lift the
lid. these are more airtight than others and our dogs haven’t
figured them out yet. we placed plastic bags inside and of
course rinse out all the items to prevent odor and leaking.

i also placed a small recycling bin that i purchased from
office max for newspapers next to them. we have a small
pantry so nothing is that obvious.
