adopt a dog who would otherwise be put to sleep

I’ve always wanted a dog just for me, and I know the huge problem with people always adopting the puppies instead of the older dogs, and how those older dogs are left in shelters for years. So I want to help.

We had two dogs when I was a little kid, but I never got to take care of them or do anything with them. Once I settle down and graduate, then I think I’ll adopt one from a shelter. I can’t wait.
