stree67 Realises that it's the small changes that make the big differences
Since the last entry this has fallen totally by the wayside. I haven’t been swimming for a number of reasons (eczma breakout amongst others) but, come next week I will restart & incorporate into my cardio workout days

Another session clocked up! Managed to do 21 lengths at the gym pool of the 1+2 cycle. And I enjoyed it too…Small steps but, hopefully making progress!

Started last week. I’ve decided to factor swimming in to my gym Cardio sessions. The pool is about 18m length so, initially started out by doing 1 length front crawl (fast), x2 lengths breast stroke ( recovery) x 6. I’m aiming to increase the cycles by 1 each week ie thisweek is 18 lengths total, next week will be 21 & so on. and I forget just how much I enjoy swimming too!

I have not gone swimming in SOOO long. I moved and the pool I like is so far away now. With work and life, I just haven’t made the time. I am making excuses though, I could go Saturday mornings at least once a week but I don’t :( I am failing at this goal. I need to get my butt in shape again …

This is hands-down the single most incredible sport ever. Yesterday I swam 52 lengths of the pool, which is a mile distance, without stopping (this pool is a hundred feet long). I also sprinted 1 length of the pool freestyle in 18 seconds and 1 length of fly in 22 secs. I went off the block so my times are faster than before.
Anyway, point being, this sport really helps me forget the world and my problems can stay far far behind.

I have been going swimming at a different pool at my school and like it a lot. So far I have been there twice. Both times had a great workout. I like to do a full length of the pool without breathing. Usually its easy. But this time I barely made it. I asked the lifeguard, “excuse me, how long is this pool?”
He told me 100 feet!!
Meaning each length of the pool is 1.3 times a regular pool. No wonder I almost drowned trying to hold my breath! But I did it …
The second day I tread water for 47 minutes. The lifeguards were wonderful and kept me company so I didn’t get bored. I could have gone longer but I had to catch the last shuttle home.
I have noticed that my biceps are more defined and i am a lot leaner now.

There is a pool near my school. I think I’ll check it out Monday. Maybe tomorrow I will go swimming in Boulder!

The summer heat has arrived in Seattle, and unemployment is breathing down my neck… went swimming yesterday, and I’m sure it’s going to not be a problem this year… if I can keep my leg out of a cast.
