My high school is having a spirit week and one day is called “duct tape day” and i plan on making a duct tape tie, belt, ipod case, rings, bracelets, grass skirt, shoe laces, crown, and other things!! its gonna be awsome!!! lol

i’m making a duct tape dress and accessories to wear to my junior prom. the theme is “decades” (lame theme, i know) and it’s a costume party so i’m going to say that i’m from the 2050s or something. i’m super excited about it…i just hope that i don’t screw it up and have to start over!

my goal is to make a corset out of duct tape. its ambitious, yes, but excellent. I have classes in Jan to make a real one, with boning and everything. and then I make a duct tape one. yay.

So far, I’ve made a belt, covered my shoes in duct tape, someone made me a duct tape purse, I’ve made a messenger bag, a pillow (lol), a phone pocket-like holder thing, and a wallet out of a Reece’s wrapper and duct tape. For Halloween, my aunt is making a dress for me from sheets (for the fact that I can’t sew with a broken sewing machine) and I get to cover it in duct tape. I’m also wearing with it a tiara and gloves both covered in duct tape, my duct tape shoes, and a sash made from duct tape.

I’ve thought about doing this several times since a girl in my class 2 years ago made almost everything out of duct tape (purse,bag,vest,skirt) we did out nails in duct tape out of random boredom. A duct tape outfit.. Who could go wrong =P
