Im 40 and ex army, had to leave during recruit training 22 years ago as I fell pregnant on christmas leave…my daughter is now 21.
I am now trying for the australian air force, just had my first interview and basic aptitude test. Did very well, I have been training for the last 3 years in the physical side, walking and running 4 times a week etc…Its taken them 4 months to pull up my old army records so this has taken awhile to get going, not long now. Its been my dream forever, Im so excited..and good luck to anyone else doing the same thing. Thats me on the right all those years ago…

I just recently went to take my MEPS for the air force and all the people who worked there had nothing but good thing to say about the air force.Im on delayed entry right now because I didn’t pay enough attention in school and had to get my GED and the airforce being the thinking mans branch of the service is making me jump through some hoops but hopefully thing will pan out and I can serve my counrty and get good schooling and a career
If your young, single, and looking for stability and to learn a trade this is for you. A word to the wise, sign up for 4 years instead of 6. It takes a speacial type of person go career military.
