Kimberly Faith HickmanYES, WE CAN!

Even if it’s just making phone calls for half an hour of your day, it’s time very well spent!
I’ve been a volunteer for MoveOn.org Political Action, and for the Barack Obama presidential campaign.
Even just a few minutes of a person’s time volunteering helps the cause!!! 3 years ago

robjvBoring but feeling good about it

Working 9 to 5, it’s hard to schedule time with the typical campaign office, but they needed some phone callers in the evening. Didn’t get any campaign donors, but got to talk to a lot of people who are excited to have somebody running against our incumbent senator. 4 years ago

yaya789Was a great experience

Unfortunate that my guy lost, but enjoyed it nonetheless. Would recommend this experience to everyone 5 years ago

bluepoet2007'04 Kerry campaign volunteer

I’m a proud Democrat and a member of the College Dems chapter at my university, so I jumped right in and started investigating Kerry’s issues and opinions in spring semester of my freshman year.

When he started making appearances at rallies and such, I joined the Dems in supporting him. Eventually, our president got in touch with one of his campaign staffers, and we were allowed to act as a form of security as people entered TD Waterhouse Centre when he made an appearance there. We were allowed seats right near the stage, and following the rally, most of us got to shake Kerry’s hand, or say a quick hello to John Edwards. We also did some phonebanking in connection with the campaign

Definitely worth the experience; depending on issues I will fully support the Democratic candidate for 2008. I really enjoyed the feeling of making a difference, even if in a small way. 6 years ago
