fondfantom is so ready.
So, because I am on a strict budget right now to stick with other goals this one is looking tricky. I am thinking about asking for them for Christmas. Seems like a reasonable gift to me. :)

Ru ~ dig deeper glitter in her wake...
I chose the bright and über shiny red Kamik Ellie boots (the tall ones). They’re slick and saucy pvc, sturdy, warm, and comfortable with wicked traction and they look really cute to boot. Feisty feisty feisty. They’re also recyclable and Canadian, so they’re green as well as red. AND I got the last pair in my size.
I looked up the koi ones I liked (a different brand) and numerous customer reviews said they looked great but got a big thumbs down for falling apart quickly. The ones I picked have raves from everyone who bought a pair (or two or three).
I’m so glad it’s going to rain tomorrow!

I’m looking for a pair of rainboots. A practical treat, with all the rain here, especially in the fall. Nothing dampens a decent mood quite like wet feet.
Yesterday I hit a huge, overwhelming mall and looked and looked but the selection was poor and overpriced (although I liked those koi ones).
Today I remembered wandering into a great shop (called Gumdrops, they gave me a business card that had a tiny bag of gumdrops attached to it – very clever) with funky rain gear & found their surprisingly excellent website. They’re still there and they’re open. So we’re going to head over later this afternoon.
Maybe I’ll get lucky… (Gumdrops link)
STFU1337 is getting ready to be AWESOME!
yay!
i bought an expensive pair…
70 bucks!
but they are obscenely comfortable!!!
Rain boots are the closest I get to “real shoes”. I have a pair with rainbow-colored stripes and a pair with a pink oriental design. Lovely boots.
Miss Mavis is actually working hard today
Living in one of the rainiest places in the US, a good pair of boots definately comes in handy… But I wear mine even when it is not raining. My rain boot tally is up to 4, Oh, so much better than collecting heels!
