read all of bell hooks' books

Now I am reading Rock My Soul: Black people and Self-Esteem. Just like all of her works it is very insightful.

I have not read all of her books. She is such a prolific writer, that I will never get through this goal. However, I will continue to read and collect her work.

Since my last posting, I have received some more of her books. All I can say is PaperbackSwap.com is fabulous. In between reaing hooks and a lot about social and cultural theory, my brain continue to tick away at all hours of the night.

Still loving all the books about LOVE, but, want to read a more recent book re: men and love (2004 I think). I can’t remember the title….

I just received “remembered Rapture: The Writer at Work.” don’t know when I am going to ge tot it, but the collection continues to grow!

Well, I have read the majority of bell hooks’ books and find them quite interesting. One of the things that she mentions in her book is that while she was in a relationship with one man, she moved with him where he relocated, but when it came down to her, he refused. Email me beacuse some of her books are gathering dust and perhaps I can send. peace.

I just received “Black Looks: Race and Representation.” I cannot wait to dig into this book. I really enjoy how hooks weaves together separate and distinct essays to form a body of cohesive work. I really can’t believe that I managed to build my bell hooks collection like I have. Go me.

Okay I finished Wounds of Passion 3 months ago! I will be reading Ain’t I a Woman: Black Women and Feminism next.

I now have about 12 of her books. Now I just need to get to reading!

I joined PaperBack Swap so that I could get rid of some books and get some new (at least new to me) ones in. So far, I have been able to score three more hooks books.
