Hi,it’s me.I am baby Christian(2 months).Since I just started,I really want to know more about God and absorb more power from him.and I’m sure the Bible is God’s best gift and best guide book for me.So I must keep on whatever excuses come to my mind.
How to study the bible
How I did it: I joined a nationally organized bible study called Bible Study Fellowship. It is very organized and their lessons and supplement material make it very easy to plug into the bible. Each week you get a new lesson to work on and bring it back the next week to discuss and learn more.
Lessons & tips: Joining a group seems to be the easiest way to have accountability for the goal you want to achieve. It is also a nice way to meet new people and hear new perspectives.

Goddess of Travel is learning more each day...
Spiritual maturity is vital and without accountability I forget and let the days go by without growth in this area. Stagnant is not a choice. I need to find a weekly Bible study with a mentor who can help teach me. I plan to start this in September 2008.

I often feel like I am just reading God’s word rather than studying it and really listening to hear God speak in my life. Life is a balancing act with wife, kids, work, and other commitments. The bottom line is I want to have a better prayer and devotional life but I am often pulled in so many different directions.
I’ve read much of the Bible but I haven’t been reading it like I used to. I’d love to have the time to really get back into it and delve into its mysteries.
New Isabella is thinking it's time for reviewing my goals again...
Study of the Bible was way way down on my list of priorities for a long time. But soon after I moved here to Augusta, GA, a new friend invited me to something they have here (and in other cities and states as well) called BSF (short for Bible Study Foundation, I think)—it is a seven-year program that covers most of the Bible, and I completed 3 years of it. I can say that it opened up a whole new world to me, and even though I’ve marked it as a completed goal, I’ve completed it only in the sense that I’ve made a start.
Cheryl so glad that God is watching over me
today I went to a local beach and brought some reading material this time to relax.
I noticed today that I really hadn’t read much of Psalms so I just started reading some of it while I enjoyed the water splashing and a nice breeze.
God made it such a beautiful day and I’m amazed by his creations in nature. This reminds me why I love Him and why I love the little animals.
Saturday I saw 37 froggies, a fox and one turtle.
today I saw a hummingbird!

Jesus multiplies food_Decided to catch up on my reading being that I had the day off. I like the idea of review. I find that the text moves so quickly both in time and emotional gravity, so the segmented organized reads are good for one who pours themselves in the text and feel overwhelmed at times. The review put it into better context.
I am finding myself growing as a person, a man, a citizen and a leader. Though much of my reading the old Testament has been dealing with the rise of Israel, I can digest the simpleness of the age and extrapolate it well in my growth as a spiritual man in a very modern sophisticated world.
Though the situations are violent, it maybe appropriate to the psyche of the modern man. I think the modern man, religious or not, has a need fills this void through the past time of watching professional sports, In particular professional football. As a result of this insight, I am less likely to accept arguments that the bible is not relevant.
One particular concept that is ringing through my mind, is the idea of the agreement. God makes agreements or covenants with men, Kings make agreements with other Kings, and men with other men. Upto this point, I have considered myself knowledgeable on many subjects, and like most trying to manage the plethora of daily tasks. As a result, I think the idea of the soldier, who fights often becomes the appropriate image or mantra to have. But I think, the next step really is the agreement, and to have more of a diplomatic approach toward those demands._
