Went and gave notice at my job last week – found I could work for more money doing contract work if I’m willing to let go of a few benefits.
I was just up front with people when they interviewed and told them my goal was to have more free time – honesty & conviction always pay off in the end – at least it’s a good filter to help you work with people who are going to be real with you!
Also a friend hooked me up with a low cost catastrophic health insurance plan, so when I want to be covered, I can do it for cheap.
Also went and refinanced car at lower interest rate, am going to move to a simpler, cheaper place to live – basically just getting my crap together! It feels sooo good – all those vacations I could never take, the time I never had to do things, the inability to relax – all in the past.
The future looks bright and life is good!
