”..i think it is not just about food, nor that i am a big fan of andrea immer, a master sommelier or that it’s good for the heart.. but mainly because i want to visit france someday, a wine haven, and hopefully have my own vineyard.. also, i love the idea of choosing the best wine to pair with great food to enhace both the dish and the wine’s taste.. lastly, and well, one of the most important is that.. im allergic to beer and wine and cocktails are mostly my choices of alcoholic drinks.. so there it is.. ill probably start to read about it or something.. or maybe i can try wine tasting or sampling.. yeah, that would be a good start..”

Altonece needs to get off of this computer, and get herself ready for work.
Looked into some information from Sur La Table, they have a bunch of wine clubs/groups. Based on what you are interested in, they will send 2 to 6 bottles of wine with details on the wine itself, suggestions for food pairings and little freebies as well. You can choose all white, all red, or both. The cost for shipping is not too bad either. Depending on where you live, they may not be able to ship alcoholic beverages to you. I know in VA you can get it, but in NY . .. no dice.
Later!

I love wines, and everything about them… I do know quite a bit about wine, and I used to train employees and managers about different wines, and everything about them, at a very upscale, pretty large, restaurant, in Massachusetts; I also used to attend wine seminars twice a month for that job, and learned alot from well-known wine sommeliers. If you ever want to know something, I would be happy to try and help you…

We go wine tasting as much as we can. We’ve visited wineries all over the country. Try this website to find wine tastings and seminars in your area: www.localwineevents.com (No, I’m not affiliated with this website.)

Every time i go to buy groceries, i’m going to buy a bottle of wine that i haven’t tried before (provided i’m not near-broke at the time!). Not as good as a wine tasting, but much easier to schedule.
