I came from in from Utah and went to the North Rim, it was awesome.
I have also flown over on a plane on the way to Texas.
I need to go back.
How I did it: I got married and we went there on our honeymoon. We saw the south rim. Drove out across the painted desert. It was a phenomenal experience and I would love to go back! Read how I did it…

How I did it: Seeing the Grand Canyon with your own eyes defies any depiction in a picture or movie. It is completely breathtaking and awesome. I always wanted to see the canyon and when I finally got the chance I must say that it exceeded the expectations that pictures and film had set.Until you stand at the edge, you really don’t have any idea just how truly large this place is.It was an amazing sight and I have a memory to last a lifetime. How I did it: My friend Ashley and I went down to Arizona to visit a friend from high school, for a week. One of the things we did while visiting him was go to the Grand Canyon. He lives in the eastern part of the state, in the Mohave Desert, so it was pretty much a road trip from there to the Grand Canyon (about 250 miles). The drive there was amazing; the mountains and just the vastness of the landscape. The Grand Canyon was awesome. I can't even exp… Read how I did it…

How I did it: We drove from Denver to Arizona. We went in April '09. Flagstaff is a good stop off point for the night. It costs $7 per vehicle to get thru the gate. Read how I did it…
How I did it: When my grandpa died it made me think about life. I don't want to die not having seen the world. I want to die like grandpa, with no regrets. I finished up classes and got a tune up and drove cross country, just me and my dog. I had a blast. I saw the sun set at the Grand Canyon. It felt even sweeter knowing I had taken myself there. I didn't let fear stand in my way. Read how I did it…

Want to take a road trip with my kids and husband to see the Grand Canyon in the near future!
And now that I’ve seen Waimea Canyon in Kaua’i, I’ve been wanting to compare the two. I’ve always heard about The Grand Canyon being huge and have envisioned it that way, but Waimea was MASSIVE and I’m curious now which is actually larger. Beyond that, I’m sure the Grand is beautiful/breathtaking in its own way anyway.
I visited the Grand Canyon National park, South Rim. It was very much worth doing. I’d written this on my Bucket List months before, and then a friend called out of the blue to say, “I’m going, do you want to go, too?” So, actually, this was not a lot of effort on my side. It was a gift from my Higher Power. I want to go again and bring my family. There aren’t words for how amazing it is.

I planned this trip for my 40th birthday and it fell through. I thought I would still go “sometime” that year. But it didn’t happen. Mostly because I can’t seem to find a friend to go with me. Then I thought maybe I would just go alone. 2 years later, I still haven’t rescheduled the trip.
I’m not removing it for the moment because I still want to go. But it’s not looking good right now.

I blew it last year when I went to Vegas and didn’t even fit in a tour before leaving back to the east coast.
I was fortunate enough to be able to take a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon while on a trip to Las Vegas. The view and sheer size of the Canyon was absolutely spectacular and something I will always remember.
Hoover Dam, Lake Mead and Lake Mohave were a sight to behold followed by a trip into the Canyon itself…although a bit bumpy and not for the faint hearted, the view was enough to distract from the fact that the blades of the helicopter where mere feet from the Canyon wall.

We’ve booked our hotel, and a mule ride. We’re not just going to see the Grand Canyon; we’re going to be IN the Grand Canyon! I am so excited!

I think I’ll be making a hotel reservation on the South Rim to celebrate a major upcoming accomplishment in my life. My husband and I talked it out and we’re both quite excited. Tomorrow I’m going to call about burro rides and if one’s available during one of the three days we’d like to be there, I’ll be reserving that AND the hotel!
