Its amazing the effect random acts of kindness can have. It doesn’t take much.

In serving others we find ourselves- St. Francis of Assisi. I want to reach out to others in a way that is subtle and effortless. It is so much easier to be nice to people and do small things for them. It makes you feel good about yourself,a nd it also makes someone else feel good.

Have some elderly neghbors that we sporadicly keep in touch with. I feel close to them because they are kindred spirits, and although plagued with age and poor health, they are chasing their dreams. For that, I respect them immensely.
We found out he has been diagnosed with cancer, and she has had a hard time re-entering the work force. Times must be difficult.
I called and ordered a fairly large gift certificate for Walmart to be delivered to them, and did it annonymously, pretending
they won a drawing, and convinced Walmart to go along with it.
It worked, and they got it, and as far as I know, they don’t suspect.
If nothing else, I am glad it gave them a small glimmer of hope, and a “good” experience at a time in their lives when they have had more than their share of “bad” ones…
There, but ‘fore the face of God, go I
