I got something in the mail about free life insurance for a year if you are a Wamu customer. It excludes a lot of causes of death, but hey why not I’ve always wanted it and need it and it’s free I’m not obligated to pay anything. Now I have a beneficiary if I die I didn’t before. 5 years ago

I saw one in New York. It’s the first one I’ve seen. I wanted to go in there and take care of some things, could have made a deposit, but I don’t know my account number and didn’t have my debit card with me. 5 years ago

I was approved for a Wamu account in September. I was supposed to get my welcome package, checks, debit card in 10 days. I never did, I emailed them with no responses. Finally called and was on hold forever, I was told everything had been sent, I never got it?! So they said they would resend everything. That seems like at least a month ago, and I finally got my debit card in the mail yesterday..but nothing else. This is like something any other person should sue about! I wanted to get started on this immediately, and I got poor service. Now, I no longer have a job so I don’t know if having a checking account really has any point. I am so disappointed and discouraged..but hopefully I will get more in the mail soon and see how I feel about it. If they charge me for not having a minimum amount in my savings account, I will be so pissed because when I signed up it said it was a special promotion you won’t have any charges for that if you sign up for both types of accounts at once. And if it’s $500 minimum, I definately don’t have that and can only have so much any way because of Social Security. I decided the money I have saved from work and any money I make I will keep in savings, and the money I get from Social Security I will have in checking or keep on myself for spending, because it it to help me with living and those things I need. I just hope I don’t get any random crazy charges I never find out about because that would be very bad for me and I couldn’t handle it. I also have no clue where a local Washington Mutual center is around here. I think there is one in York I saw on the Aol yellow pages. I don’t know how else I could get money into my account. 5 years ago
