my parents don’t ask much of me. just that i do well in school and remain happy. i just can’t seem to do the first, which causes rifts between parent and son and makes everyone unhappy.
this is the only thing that they’re unsatisfied about, other than that, they’re proud of me. but i just want to give them something else to look forward to rather than me being just a nice son. i want to be a great son and make them proud.
How to make my parents parents proud
How I did it: I did whatever my parents wanted me to do. I respect them so much. Even though I disobey them at times, I know I'd always have their trust and that they'd have mine. Parents love, care, bring you up and only want what's best for you. It would really hurt for a child to resent their parents, because I would know how it would feel. No matter what you do, your parents will always love you unconditionally, and that's what I appreciate most. I reckon the best thing to do for your parents is to love them back and make them proud. Because they're the reason why you're here right now.

My parents were always cool and never really putt any presure on me to be anything other than myself, their lack of controll made the desire to be rebellious seem stupid, and temptation never got to me. I am a pretty good kid and I owe so much to them. I am trying my hardest to show them that all their support paied off.
2 years ago I was going through my “akward stage” and I was depressed like all the time. It got bad enough that I was doing things I knew I shouldnt have been, like cutting myself. When my parents found out, I lost there trust. Majorally. Since then, I gained there trust back, not all the way, mostly tho. And I want them to be proud of me. Its been a year and a half since I cut myself or drank. I want them to see me walk across the stage in 2009, and get my diploma. My parents are older, and Im there baby, and they dont think theyll be around to see me graduate from high school.
Were “lower class” and I want to go to college and I want them to help me move to my first dorm, and I want them to see me grow up, succeed and start my own family, and raise my kids the way we were raised. With RESPECT.
