avoid saying "I'm sorry" when I have nothing to be sorry about

I had to give some pretty tough messages at work. I didn’t say I was sorry. It wasn’t a message I had personally created, it was a message they needed to hear to move forward positively.

I was the messenger, not the owner. And I’m not sorry I did my job. Now we are moving in a positive direction.

ow yes, this is a good one. I am really bad at it too. I am constantly apologising for things. even when they are not my doing even. guess it comes from being always the guilty one…

so tiresome.

Middle management has finally broken me of this habit.

I do this way too much. And then I apologize for apologizing. It needs to stop.

All the time, I apolgize for things that are out of my hands, things that I could do nothing about. All. The. Time. This has to stop, doesn’t it..?

It’s not my fault that I couldn’t be there for someone when their cat got ran over, I feel sorry that it happened, and wish I could have been there to comfort that person, but that doesn’t help.

I want to stop this. Let’s see how I do.
