We went to the NASCAR race in Richmond Saturday. I didn’t even know Nickelback was doing a pre-race concert until we got there (I’ve been in Iraq since last December and a bit out of the loop). The track sold special access passes so you get get close to the stage, but since we didn’t know ahead of time, we had to watch from behind the fence, which was fine (the view may not have been great, but the music didn’t suffer).
The band played for just over an hour, mostly songs from Silver Side Up and The Long Road, bit also played “Photograph” from the upcoming album.
The show was great, and I hope to see them again in a full-length concert.
