Tied in with my goal to clean up my garage, this is going to be an organizational task. I’ve installed closet organizing materials putting up 2 6 foot long shelves on the top and several 3 foot wide shelves on one side from bottom up to the upper longer shelves. Now I have to figure out how I want it all to fit with everything else that goes with my little graphic arts business. Matting & framing materials, computer and 4 different printers, scanners and paper oh my! I have my big corner desk for the computer and 3 of the printers plus a printer stand that has paper storage for my big color laser printer and filing cabinets for all of those important documents which need to be retained. I still need to fit in a work table for cutting matting and framing pictures. I have a feeling that I will need to install a ceiling fan in there as it is upstairs and on the warmer summer days when the sun is actually out it is quite a hot box in there. I will get this done, hopefully soon as I have a few people that are wanting pictures framed and understand I need to de-clutter and find all of my tools and materials before I can reopen the doors on AkRyder Products and begin framing and matting pictures.

FL_Cutie believes "every day above ground is a good day".
...out my window, that is. Apparently, I had too much furniture in my office. I got rid of a small desk and stool that I never used, except to drop clutter on. ;) Honestly, I still have a regular desk where I use my computer and store writing supplies – why did I need a second? I put away the sewing machine that sat out and collected dust. If I need it, I can pull it out. All of this was also blocking my big window! There is so much more light in the room now, and I don’t feel nearly as overwhelmed to tackle the rest of the room. Who knew?
I’ve also started eliminating a few of the items I had hanging on the walls in this room (sometimes less really is more). An easy thing to do when you look at something and say,”I have absolutely no attachment to this. Why am I keeping it?” Out it goes…which, in effect, will free up space on my bedroom wall and allow me to finish decorating it. I’m starting to feel in control of things now!
