while it seems like we haven’t been doing much, we actually have, but most of them involve bringing the baby along. we still have lots of fun, but they are more like family days and less like dates. we also get some alone time at home and while we can’t really go anywhere, we do take advantage of the peace and do in-home activities together almost on a daily basis. while, we aren’t getting to go out on our own very often, i think we’ve been doing a good job keeping our relationship alive and interesting!

June 10th me and the hubby (Ken) went to the No Doubt concert in Virginia Beach together! I had a blast rockin out and being with Ken! It has been nice that he has had nights off lately so we should be able to sqeeze in some more date nights!

We’ve tried the weekly thing before…and it’s just too hard to do that often so we usually end up frustrated and quiting. We’ve decided that we are going to shoot for once a month…alternating months as to who’s turn it is to plan it. June is going to be my month…I have a few possible ideas, but I’d love to hear suggestions…anyone have one?

This past week we treated ourselves to a dinner at the steakhouse. We had an excellent server and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. It’s simply marvelous to be able to spend time together like that. And when it’s over, someone else is washing the dishes. Even better!

Another Date!

Date to a formal dinner party last weekend….was like pulling teeth to get hubby in formal clothes (at the last minute we even had to run to Men’s Wearhouse because I didn’t trust whether his old clothes would fit), but we had a very good time!

The kiddo had his first slumber party, so hubby and I had our first date in a long while. We still played it cheap, and ended up at Skippers on Friday night. It was nice to get a chance to talk without a little voice commenting.

We actually went out! It was our first date since the Hubby got out of the hospital last month. We went and saw Last House on the Left cause we both love horror flicks. We even used a AMC gift card we had so it was a free date too :)

Not “nights” but rather mornings.
Once a month, breakfast before work at a coffee shop.
Once a month, less than 2 hours – and WHAT A DIFFERENCE IT MAKES!!
HIGHLY recomended!!!

Ian's♥Girl appreciating everything that I have...everyday.
but we finally get to go on a lil date! I’m excited to spend some alone time with my honey ♥ probably just a movie & lunch but it’s more than ok. I’d be happy just laying in bed all day with him haha (on second thought) ;]

Last Sunday, my husband and I returned to the German restaurant that I wrote about in my last entry. Wow, what a long winter it has been. We enjoyed another delicious meal complete with happy-in-love conversation.
Between these two events, we have had several dates that weren’t recorded. Those that come to mind are as follows:
- Romantic getaway before Christmas
- “Defiance” and “Taken” at the movie theater
- Japanese steakhouse (splurge)
- Numerous outings to the barbeque restaurant and our cozy Chinese restaurant
- Doing research together at the library
