My goal for this is to not quite ‘stop’ drinking caffeine, but drink a whole lot less of it.
I’ve already been limiting my soda intake and I’ve been heavily drinking Decaffeinated Pepsi or just slightly spiking the Decaf Pepsi with a splash of real.
And today I drunk the rest of the real Pepsi’s. My Mother’s quit smoking, my brother’s working on quitting smoking, and now it’s time I learn to kick a bad habit too. :D
What is/are the main reason(s) you want to quit?
-I want to quit so that we can save money and I’ll be free to choose something else to drink.
Is that all?
-I also want the added bonus of being healthier. My dentist and teeth will also love me for it.
How are you gonna do it?
-Take a few weeks to see how much soda I really drink compared to how much I waste by not wanting it, then reduce it to a set amount (about half a glass) and drink that. If I’m still thirsty, then pour more into the glass, but less then half a glass. After a while, start adding in substitutes such as Kool-Aid, find a tea I like, and caffeine free Pepsi. Wean off the Pepsi.
What about withdraw symptoms?
-Take some aspirin and stick with no caffeine alternatives. Also use some methods that I’m researching now.
