start hiking again

I used to hike at the gorge so, so, so often. I was really happy there, just seeing the sights and being surrounded by nature. I stopped when the weather got bad, but now I have no excuses. It’s time to get reacquainted with that place.

Now that the kids are old enough, I could start hiking again. I used to go hiking a few times a month, but since my kids were orn, I stoped. I dream of hiking the Apalachian Trail or do the Santiago di Compostella pilgrimage from Paris. Who knows, maybe if I start hiking again, I’ll do them some day!!

I was a geology student in college & took some great hikes in some beautiful national parks in the U.S., Central America, including Mexico, & South America. Hikes on mountains, including volcanoes; jungles & deserts. I am a walking nut I guess. I want to continue some hikes next year after Christmas in Costa Rico & Panama. I live near New Orleans now but I miss the Rockys in the West & the Andes in South America.

My family hiked alot when I was a child. I don’t know why I stopped. I love nature. There is beauty all around us.
