How to dye my hair bright red"Funky and Fun"
How I did it: I was bored with my haircolor and decided to dye it red. But I had dyed it black a month earlier and knew that I had to wait a few weeks before I could bleach it. That's when I decided to just do the top of my head. So I got a Splat kit and I bleached my hair. Waited a few minutes and then dyed my hair red. After that, I conditioned it and vala! I had red hair! Lessons & tips:

How I did it: I bought a package of "Splat" hair dye in their raspberry color. I wasn't going to bleach my hair, so I knew it wouldn't be quite the same as on the package. It's a home kit, just like any other, except with lots more staining! Of skin, of clothes, of floors, of grout, of shower curtains...need I go on? Read how I did it…

How I did it: With red hair dye! Dur... Obviously to get a bright red (which is what you should be doing if you're saying you're dyeing your hair red) you need to bleach it. I found bleaching ot once was fine. And the condition of my hair never really deteriorated. Read how I did it…
How I did it: After going blonde a month or so before hand I decided to use it to my advantage and got red while it was light enough to make the red vibrant. It looked amazing right after I did it (I felt like a superhero) but after the first wash it already started to loose it's vibrancy. After a little over a week with washing every other day it had faded to a strawberry blonde hue. Read how I did it…

I started out as a mid-dark brown, but had used Dream Blonde and was a golden shade( i mean actually gold) I decided to brighten things up. I used Feria Ruby Rush and man I LOVED IT!!! It was bright it was dramatic, and people loved it, several have copied. now i want to do something different but can’t get the red out.
I have blond streaks with black.
I have dyed my hair with left over dye before but it didn’t stay for long and quickly faded to dark brown.

Well, had kind of a frustrating day. Got my hair dyed. Showed the woman a picture. Really thought it would work out. But it’s really not bright enough. It’s kind of boring looking. I need it to be amazing, fireracker, Delirium red. I think I’ll try another place in the future and just tell them to make me look like a Fire engine.
Or maybe I’ll go back to box dyes. I can’t afford this stuff.

I walked around with this red hair for four years and it truly felt natural. It made me feel like a character out of my own movie. It allowed me to be brash, opinionated, witty and dazzling. Everyone wanted a piece of me and I loved it. For those four years I saw my world with wisps of bright red falling in my face.
Right now I’m sitting with a white towel over my red hair. It’s going to be a pink towel from now on, I guess! We’ll see how it comes out.
