How I did it: With red hair dye! Dur... Obviously to get a bright red (which is what you should be doing if you're saying you're dyeing your hair red) you need to bleach it. I found bleaching ot once was fine. And the condition of my hair never really deteriorated. I have decided (with difficulty and dismay) to postpone this because in the spring I will be taking a trip, on foot and by myself. My hair is already near hip-length, and for safety reasons I do not need the extra attention bright hair would bring. It would be like sending up a signal flare, “Here I am, look at me!”

I started out as a mid-dark brown, but had used Dream Blonde and was a golden shade( i mean actually gold) I decided to brighten things up. I used Feria Ruby Rush and man I LOVED IT!!! It was bright it was dramatic, and people loved it, several have copied. now i want to do something different but can’t get the red out.
I have blond streaks with black.
I have dyed my hair with left over dye before but it didn’t stay for long and quickly faded to dark brown.
I want to try really bright red.

Well, had kind of a frustrating day. Got my hair dyed. Showed the woman a picture. Really thought it would work out. But it’s really not bright enough. It’s kind of boring looking. I need it to be amazing, fireracker, Delirium red. I think I’ll try another place in the future and just tell them to make me look like a Fire engine.
Or maybe I’ll go back to box dyes. I can’t afford this stuff.
