How to take 43 photos of people
It made me
Challenged 
"It was scary to start taking photos of random people I don't know in public places, but it worked out really well."
How I did it: Carried my camera with me everywhere. Gained confidence slowly. Sneaked photos sometimes, talked to people, watched for opportunities.
Lessons & tips: If you have the slightest feeling that it might not be okay to take someone's photo or to keep one you have taken, ask. Personally, it's not worth it to be to have something that is not freely given.
