teach a class

I started my post-university career as a teacher. I worked overseas and taught hundreds of classes a year. I really enjoyed it to a point. I guess I wasn’t mature enough to really figure out how to grow and change personally while I was helping my students change.

Anyways, I enjoyed it and I’d like to do it again. I’m not sure if I want to be a professional trainer, but even just teaching one class a week would be fun. This goal however, will need to wait until next spring as I’m working a crazy job in the Jan semester.

Yesterday was the last of my “See Jane Kick Butt: Practical Self-Defense for Women” class. All the ladies gave me the highest ratings and are looking forward to the Level 2 class next semester.

It was defintiely a worthwhile experience, and I think I learned more than they did. I’m looking forward to teaching it and the Level 2 class next semester.

Tomorrow’s my first class.

I teach the class starting on Feb 16th. Enrollment is maxed out already. It should be fun.

Signed up to teach another class in April called “The Journal Journey”.

In Feb. I’m teaching an course in self-defense at the local technology center. I wanted to call it “See Jane Kick Butt: Practical Self-Defense for Women”, but for some reason (I suspect it was the word “butt”) the course title had to be shortened to just “Practical Self-Defense for Women”.

Bummer.

i want to instruct people on how to do a cerain skill

I joined a voluntary organisation which provides education to underprivileged children. I am now terribly short on time, now that my weekends are spent this way and office takes up much of my weekdays…but it feels great…

Assume that 1st year college students need to write essays! I earned my Master’s in Educational Psychology & Counseling by writing a thesis project for these college students. Keep asking myself “SHALL I WRITE A BOOK” or “TEACH A CLASS” OR BOTH?

Putting this one aside for the moment. If the class is good enough to fly now, it’ll be even better when I have the free time to put into planning for it.

Besides which, I am already planning to do a one-on-one with one of my under-classmates this summer. Assuming it goes well, maybe I’ll pimp it out to her other thesis mates next spring.

I’ve just sent off my teacher training application even though I’m still in two minds about it.
I am also ssupposed to be leaving on my travels in three weeks time so its all Very tight, I can’t leave my departure alot later as my job ends in a month.
