How to buy more ink for my printer
It made me
self-congradulatory 
"I felt like I was breaking all the rules when while driving down the road I spontaneously said, "I'll just pick up some ink at Best Buy". "
How I did it: As McBeth was trying to print some stuff out at the U for our daughter, I messed with the U's printer (trying to be helpful!) and all of the info vanished and I ended up breaking the printer. The little lady was decidedly unhappy with my meddling. I realised in a flash that I had to grab that tiger's tail and get more ink swift-like or the water would just get deeper and hotter as my meddling would soon snowball into a reminder of all the times I 'step in to help' making it seem to her that I don't think she knows what she's doing (which I of course DO know she knows - if you know what I mean). I invariably eff things up in the end because I kind of usually just step in and do whatever. So anyway, I bit the bullet, walked into Best Buy and bought the ink for a cool 37 smackerals. It honestly took less than 5 minutes, and now We Have Ink.
Lessons & tips: Know what ink you need to buy to begin with so you don't have to spend any more time than you have to with the self-important wannabe techies that though they are supposedly eager to help you, can never seem to find what you need until you actually find it 10 minutes later and they act like you made a mistake in describing what you wanted to begin with. Because saying, "I need ink for my hp5180 printer." might be too complexly worded a statement to be immediately understood.
Resources: My eyes, and my ability to walk away from the salesman while he's in mid-sentance (stranding my wife with his vacillating @$$) and just look for it myself.

I just found the ink I needed online for $12 less than in the stores! And today the shipping was free!!!! I bought it at inkgrabber.com if anyone else has this goal.

My printer just ran out of ink for the first time since we bought it last year. It’s almost $30 for a replacement! When did printer ink get so expensive?? And WHY is it so expensive????
