The trumpet quartet I play in has a good sized book of arrangements. Of those, I have arranged about half of the charts. I want to get at least four new gospel trumpet quartets and a Civil War arrangement done by this summer.
Setting the goal and making it public will give me some push to get it done. Now let’s see what happens.
If I can find someone who wants the music, I work faster and better in getting it out. I guess I thrive on pressure in order to get the creative juices going.

Arranging for concert band for contemporary church music to encourage young players
have a few titles in mind to read to get me going..
http://www.musique.umontreal.ca/personnel/Belkin/bk/index.html
and
Complete Handbook for the music arranger ISBN0825628075
and
Music Composition and arranging Walter Samuel, N.Y. : Abingdon Press, c1965
We have a few instruments to work with before us
Clarinet, Sax(baritone), Trumpet, Flute, Guitar, Bass, Keys, Drums
Will need to perhaps consider the skill level of the players, in range and other stuff.
Have no idea about arranging..
