Attend archaeology program in Rome this summer

I talked to my adviser. She told me basically that it wasn’t a good idea to take up 7 weeks in Rome participating in an archaeology program when I really should be writing. She has an excellent point. So this goal has been postponed ‘til after my diss. is done. That moment (when I have successfully defended it) will be truly liminal and wonderful!

I just emailed my profs for recommendations. I had been dragging my feet on this. For some reason, I hate asking for recommendations: “Could you please take time out of your already busy schedule to write me a recommendation for a program that will really only benefit me?” Anyway. I asked them. Let’s see what they say. I am expecting “no” because I asked them only a week before the app. deadline!

From the two program directors (I’m assuming that’s what they are). Next step – ask two of my profs for reccomendations, draft a cover letter and revise my CV.

Next action item, talk with or email my prof.

an email to the program director; will send a follow-up tomorrow. Application deadline is Feb 5th!
