build a career by seeking out brilliant opportunities and generally being a bit more proactive

After feeling for the past few weeks that I was going nowhere with an uncomfortable rapidity, suddenly today I had three job offers. THREE. Two are jobs I actively sought since creating this goal, and one is just an offer out of the blue.

I also had one of those killer wicked ideas for kickstarting an unrelated project I’ve been mulling over for about a year now.

I’m not really a believer in horoscopes but there is one newspaper which often seems peculiarly insightful, and today it said that a chance encounter might offer a very valuable opportunity.

I’m going to have to become a workaholic to get through all these exciting things (I’m a bit slothful by nature really)...

I updated my cv and applied for two jobs. I feel more proactive already :)

enough’s enough.

I got a big kick in the butt about this from a friend today and he’s absolutely right. I have to stop hoping opportunities will mysteriously materialise and start seeking them out, creating them, and expecting a lot more of myself.

This week I’m going to get my cv together and put it a few places it needs to be.
