see the synchronized fireflies of east tennessee

which is a difficult time of year to have time off work. I know, with layoffs taking effect July 1 next year, that won’t be a time I could, or should, go.

Maybe 2011?

Okay so it really IS cool. I went last year with a friend and we camped… make sure you make camping reservations EARLY as all the local parks “book up” fast. The one main park in the city was $20 for a site, and people are very cool about noise and lights.

One thing that ticked me off, though, was the little kids trying to smash the fireflies and make them glow. Just a note.
