play lacrosse

trying out for the team and determined to learn and make it :).

I want to play lacrosse so bad, I’ve got alright stick skills but I still need to get the rest of my pads in. I can’t wait to try and play club lacrosse in college, it’ll be tons of fun I think.

It was a long time ago, but what fun.

before college is over, i want to play an intercollegiate or club sport. lacrosse always interested me, but since i’m from the South people don’t play it where i’m from. i hope one day someone would take the time to teach me, so i can be good and join the team

Started the only non-collegeit, fully functioning, girls team in Nebraska.

Don’t worry, there’s more of us than that.

im a freshman in high school and im on the freshman team. we’re all new to the sport and the freshman have practices, but as we progress we’ll be switching into junior varsity games. im already getting better – im a MUCH better runner – i used to not be able to run a whole short perimeter, and now i can run a long one. I have pretty good stick skills. im not so good with my left side though….overall – im having a blast and i absolutely love it. luckily there we’re no cuts this year – so our school now has about 60 girl lacrosse players.

It’s DEFINITELY worth playing and im so glad i made the choice to play this year. I’m looking forward to actually learning the rules [ahaha] and playing in a JV game.

If anyone’s wondering- Modell’s has nice sticks..[mine’s pink]
The stick should come up to about your waist. Girls lacrosse sticks are different from guys lacrosse sticks, but it’s pretty easy to tell the difference. Practice throwing the ball up and doing tricks to get the hang of it. It’s awkward at first.
