become an activist

how sweet, or even a politician for the greens

I want to FIGHT for what I believe in and make the world a better place.

I believe in the “be a role model” ideal. I think being obnoxious is usually counter-productive. You have to MARKET your cause, make it cool, but not in-your-face. I can say that I have done that this year.

I’m too damn…shy.

I’m thinking of joining a coalition to help homeless people and to be a volunteer for a 3rd party presidential candidate. I have also looked into some Anarchist organizations.

I’ve consistently been active, voicing and volunteering with efforts I care about. I feel that I’m making a difference and setting a good example. Cheers.

You don’t have to be an uber involved activist like the ones you see passing out buttons on the street corner, but by advocating a cause whenever you talk with someone about the subject, is being an activist too.

This, of course, ties into my goal of getting involved in politics. It sounds simplistic, but I want to make a difference. There are many things that need to change. There are many causes that could use my help, but I think the first step would be to find the one cause that means the most to me, and go from there. I can’t do everything, I know that, but I can start with one cause, and work my way up the list. I’ve signed many petitions in the past, but I want to play a bigger role.

i signed up for an activist group and have signed petitions against oil drilling in alaska, polagamy, and arial shooting of wolves in alaska. im gonna sign many more and have also signed up for many newsletters to inform me of issues that i am interested in.
