Obama...McCain 1 week ago

Generally this goal was just to see who to vote for in the primary election, but I’ve been subjecting myself to watching more news and even a bit of each of the conventions and last night’s debate. I hate these political attack ads, and all the arguing. It really stresses me out to have to see all this stuff all the time. So, I’d really urge both Obama and McCain to stop them and just tell us what is going on with their side of the story. I’m pretty sure I’ve already decided on my candidate by now. And last night’s debate was so boring I was asleep sometime within the first half-hour I think. Neither of the candidates are giving me anything new to think about to support them more or be against them more. November 4th come quickly to make all the politics go away for at least for a little while!

I have done what I set out to do with this goal. 8 months ago

I know for whom I will be voting next month when I go to my local courthouse to vote. I am confident in this decision, too. Whereas a couple of weeks ago I was still undecided. I will try to remember to post some information after the primaries are over for the general election.

I’m glad I did this goal, though. I learned about the primary/caucus system more in-depth and was informed about delegates. I’ve come away a lot more informed voter because of this. (And also wonder why it has to be so darned difficult, too.)
