fix the things on my car that i ordinarily wouldn't fix until i'm ready to try to sell the car but damnit then i wouldn't get to enjoy having a less crappy car

In less than a week I’ll sell the car to Viejo. I just need to give it a quick bath before I turn it over.

Viejo has expressed definite interest in purchasing the car when I go to Spain so I don’t have to worry about how to get it sold. I think I’ve got everything fixed on it that needs fixin’; it just needs a good clean up once I’ve moved out of it.

Driving yesterday, a pebble jumped up and hit my windshield. A tiny crack. How disappointing!

I cleaned and organized my car and trunk yesterday so now I can find things on semi-command.

I finally got the electrical problem in my car fixed, thanks to my dad taking it in to his mechanic. So nice to have tail lights and interior lights again.

So supposedly the problem with my lights is as simple as changing out a fuse, but the fact that it’s my car’s electrical system that we’re dealing with here makes the prospect of getting my hands into the problem a little intimidating. But now the problem has spread – or at least my awareness of it has – and my tail lights also are not functioning properly. This is now a real safety issue – I had to drive home tonight with my emergency flashers on. Tomorrow I’ll either resolve the fuse problem or else get a professional to do so for me.

Did I mention that when we installed the stereo we did something wrong with the wiring and so now my interior lights are all dead. I have no idea how fast I’m going when I drive at night. Back to the drawing board.

Today I am replacing my persnickety car stereo. I’m actually mostly watching as a coworker fixes it for me. We got a start at lunch; we’ll finish the project after school. This’ll make my car more sellable—and sell time is coming up soon!

I did $900 dollars worth of fixin.
My wallet took a lickin.
But now my ride is tickin.
