I want to get back into african drumming and salsa grooves. I would love to be in a band and play gigs. I get such a buzz from that.

It’s one of the best instrument in the world.

I played drums in a few bands when I was in my late teens through my late 20’s. Life is just too demanding, and I had to choose to be a responsible husband and father. People ask me all the time if I still play, or if I will ever play again. The way I see it is that drumming will always be something I enjoy doing even if it is just on my steering wheel.

i learned how to play in the 8th grade… i got my 5 piece in 9th grade, but since my grandpa had alzheimers he’d always come in my room and tell me to stop playing… so i did eventually. and now i’m kicking myself. if anyone is looking for a drummer in miami, i am so down!
