Attend at least 12 live music events in 2007

I am going to close this off given that its midway thru 2008. I have not really been using 43 things in the last year.

I am planning to start again so will create a new “music/gigs for 2008” goal

Went and saw Bobby Flynn at the corner with Pete about midway through 2007. Another suprise. It was an amazing concert but I was so exhausted from my weekend that I kept just wanting to sleep. And somehow his music washed away all tension … which only made me want to sleep more.

Went to check out a jazz club in Melbourne that I had not been to before call Paris Cat. Went with Anna and Olga to a jazz impro/jam session. Great venue.

Went and saw Wagons at Manchester Lane in middle of the year. Alas did not get to see any of their other shows during 2007.

Finally went and saw Gian Slater at Bennett’s in November. I am overwhelmed at the magic she created

Went to see his live show with Pete and friends. Amazing!

One show short in 2007. Try again next year? I think so.

6 shows short I guess I’ll have to try again next year.

I watched Dillinger Escape Plan with some other random metal bands at the Stone Pony last week. I have just one week to find one show. Any show. I have seen cover bands play at the bar down the street, but I have not been qualifying those as “music events.”

All I need is a show. Just one. I am off of work next week, so I am going to make it happen.

I was looking on ticket web for shows to go to before the end of the year and my brother pip’s band has a show at the marquis that is selling on ticket web!!!!
