Go back to San Francisco

I’ll go back again…This time sooner and for LONGER!!!

Yesterday we took the ferry from Sausalito to the Ferry Building in SF. We walked to Pier 39. We visited Aquarium of the Bay.

It’s like an amusement park for adults.

We live an hour away from San Francisco, so we often go for a visit on the weekend. It is a fun place to explore. Sometimes we go to museums or shows, but a lot of times we just walk around and see what we can find.

Some times we drive in, sometimes we take the ferry from Larkspur Landing.

I something else in my life. I used to roll out to Cali once a year for like 5 yrs in a row, just because I could. Ahhh, money, where have you gone. I miss Lindsey a lot. She’s so dope. I loved hanging out with her and just, I don’t know, just kicking it. Rachael is back out there again and that seriously blows. We were pretty tight when she was here in Shitass, NC, but now we only call each other every so often. I need to kidnap some kids and get some ransom money so I can go back out there again

I’m looking forward to this, even if I’ll be concentrating on business. Should be heading out for about two weeks later this month or early in February, providing I can arrange some appointments with VCs from this side of the pond first (can’t really go out on spec).

Will have to research suitable accommodations, naturally with broadband and a kitchenette of some sort. Can’t eat out for two weeks straight… well I’m sure I could (!) but in this instance it might be a bit too pricey and anyway I intended to check out the local farmers markets.

so my big master plan after dropping out of college was to go to new orleans for 2 or 3 weeks and then move to the bay area. spend time in san francisco, probably live in oakland because that’s more affordable. well 2 things happened while i was in new orleans. 1)i fell in love with new orleans and the people there and decided i didn’t want to leave, and 2)my boyfriend, who lives in san francisco, broke up with me. i still want to go to the bay area, but it’s just not as urgent anymore. and i’m not stressed about getting there as soon as possible. it was hard before, when i had to keep reassuring harj that i was planning to get there soon, while at the same time knowing that it would be hard to leave NO. so it’s weird, i’m making a lot of big changes and plans in my life, and it’s exciting. harj and i are still really close (and we still love each other, it’s complicated) and he still really wants to see me. even if we hadn’t broken up, i couldn’t have prioritized him over new orleans. i was starting to do that, and i knew it would be a mistake (not that i was going to california just for him; i know a lot of people there and i went there in september to see if i’d like it…it’s a beautiful place with an awesome radical community, etc). so yeah, i ended up staying in new orleans for 4 weeks, went to philly just for the holidays, and i’ll be going back down south next week, and i’ll be there indefinitely. i think my goal is to get to the bay area by march, so we’ll see.
