make something of myself

I do have something in mind, but I question
on whether I willing to stick
to it or not. I do not want to end up being a nobody!
that would be something that makes me mad in the
end

I will feel like a failure
if I do not.

I am actually a very talented person. There are many things that I am able to do, and I don’t need to list them, this is all for me anyways. Due to certain excuses that I make for myself, I don’t go out and taste the world and make an impact, create something, etc with myself! I guess that I don’t know where to begin, where to go, who to ask for help, etc. But have decided that for a week straight I am going to do all of the things that I have wanted to do/be for a really long time, and just try them out intensively for a week:
1) stop smoking marijuana
2) stop eating meat
3) meditate
4) read every night
5) go to sleep early
6) be more patient and calm
7) do something creative everyday

I think that this is a pretty good list to start with. So today is January 12th, and I am beginning something new, on a new adventure, and I will document all of it.

To what people said to me… i woulda given up a long time ago… but i havent its made me stronger and i hope that i can ride this out so i can actually learn to make something of myself in the long run

That yesterday I got my acceptance packet from Marquette! Being a lovely school (duh, because Cathibeth went there) I was very proud of this acceptance.

Didn’t get the free hat for being the first 250 people to apply though…

General college update : Batting 80%. Just waiting for a response from University of Illinois at Urbana’s response.

I was wondering about my Purdue application and decided to give them a call. Turns out that I was accepted into their engineering program in December and should receive my acceptance packet within the next week. I was really worried that my hard work would not pay off, but it has!

I just got accepted into the nationally ranked 7th best civil engineering program!

Ah, they’ll make a boilermaker out of me! Now excuse me while I go to the bathroom before I pee myself!

Got accepted into Valparaiso’s engineering school today! They even sent me a certificate saying “Lisa has been admitted to Valparaiso’s College of Engineering”.

Pretty cool, huh?

Two acceptances down, three responses to go.

And to Cathibeth, no word yet on the Marquette baseball cap. Sorry. :(

Just found out I got accepted into University of Illinois at Chicago’s engineering school!

I’m getting there.
